The city has a magical atmosphere with its colorful streets and amazing food. The old city is a favorite destination because of its history and beautiful sunsets. When I was a child, I used to dream about visiting Cartagena, the famous walled city on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. Last year, my dream finally came true. I checked in at a small but charming hotel near the historic center, and right away, I felt amazed by the colorful colonial buildings all around me. The first morning, I walked around the old city and admired the ancient walls and vibrant street art. I also went up to Castillo San Felipe, where I looked out at the breathtaking view of the Caribbean Sea.
